Our body carries infinite wisdom. It senses danger, guides us with subtle signs we often call intuition, and sends us cues as to how we feel: scared, angry, nervous, excited. Honouring our body's needs is vital for our physical, emotional, and mental wellbeing.
However, our culture teaches us to ignore our body's cues: needing rest is being disregarded as "weakness", caffeine replaces sleep, and hunger pangs must be ignored if we're limiting food to make our bodies smaller.
Make peace with your body and mind. The Sanskrit word for yoga is yuj, which can be translated to unity—often referring to unity with self, others, and a higher power.
My offering is to guide you to come home to yourself; to feel safe and at peace in your body, mind, and soul.
This is your time and your practice. I'm your guide, not your teacher; you are your teacher. My videos and writings are meant as gifts for you to use as you see fit.
